On Cloud 9 At A Desert Island

Did you ever dream of spending a night at a desert island? Make your dream come true when you go to Palawan, the Philippines' westernmost province, frequently labeled its "last frontier". In such place, they say, you don't only visit an island but you get the whole island as well all to yourself.

Explore the region particularly in El Nido and you're certain to find one desert island that can beat all the other best holiday beaches in the world! But, don't expect to see excellent facilities in a desert island as there aren't any like a city beach accommodation in such getaway.

A desert island is what the name suggests - an island of sugary white sand fringed with palm trees and nothing more. There’s only the turquoise sea and the beautiful white sand islands. Incidentally, El Nido is a tiny village overlooking Bacuit Bay, the northerly tip of the largest Palawan Island.

In your own desert island, rise up to your first ever sunlit view of breathtaking surroundings against the backdrop limestone cliffs of Palawan. Before the sun is fully up, drop into the crystal clear waters and emerge again to the ecstatic sight of nearby islands that rise like mountains from the sparkling water.

Try to get to Cadlao, one of the region's numerous wild islets, for some underwater adventure-snorkeling. Afterward, navigate through a cave which can only be seen above water on a calm weather.

Feast your eyes on multicolored fishes frolicking in a huge electric blue lagoon with the waves gently lapping the shores of this secret beach paradise. Yes, you'll definitely feel like being on cloud 9, more so if you and loved one seem totally enclosed, hidden from the world. Such paradise is totally yours even for just a day.

Explore further down the coast of Cadlao to find caves full of nesting swiftlets. When you're feeling thirsty, quench it with coconuts you can find as you go along. It's truly a wonderful and unique experience that you'll never think of going back to where you belong.

Since there are no guesthouses or eateries whatsoever, you have to bring the necessary provisions especially for shelter. For ease and convenience, hire the boatman to serve as your handy man-guide, cook, doing fishing for food and helping carry the load. He will be glad to oblige with the earning he gets out of the service.

If you intend to stay a while longer, make the most of your stay exploring the remote island nearby including a network of lagoons teeming with a variety of marine life.

Indeed, a desert island all to yourself is perhaps one of the best beach getaways you'll ever experience in your life. Likewise, it's best to check your list of the things to do while you're here.

5 Tips on Looking Hot and Fabulous on the Beach

Thinking about the many ways to look hot on the beach? Since summer is not yet over, there's still a big chance that you want to hit the waters to beat the heat of the sun. So ladies, here are some helpful tips to make you look scorching hot at the best city beaches in town!

1. SPF is Your BFF

The most important tip on looking hot on the beach is by protecting your skin! But keep in mind that you need to apply this all year round and not just when you're spending a vacation in one of the best holiday beaches in the world. Since sun-damaged skin is never hot, be sure to lather up on sun-screen products that contain enough SPF.

2. Less is More

This is not about your swimsuit, but your make-up! Remember that no woman would ever want a full-makeup when they're swimming. While you don't need to have a bare face at the beach, you just need minimal make-up. This will totally bring out your natural beauty and accent features.

To avoid looking like a clown at the beach, use only powder, tinted moisturizer, lip balm and minimal waterproof eyeliner. Surely you'll never have a make-up meltdown!

3. Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Do you want to make your legs appear slimmer while you're lounging in the most relaxing sandy beach resort? How about putting on some body shimmer and get glowing? You might want to try the Nars Body Glow or the Michael Kors Leg Shine To-Go because these two will give you a hint of shimmer without looking like you bathed in body glitter.

4. Get a Good Scrub

Before you show off some skin, it's a big must that you exfoliate first to get rid of all the old skin. No matter how toned your body is, it's hard to look hot on the beach if you have a layer of old and dead skin cells.

Go get a readymade body scrub from the drugstore or make your own by mixing olive and sugar and start exfoliating! Not only will you feel great, you'll even have a new and shiny skin.

5. Battle the Bloat

If you want to have a beach-ready body, then it would be best if you avoid processed foods, salt and carbs. Avoiding these types of foods will guarantee that you'll be bloat free the moment you wear that bikini.

When you think about it, there are actually so many things to do when it comes to prepping yourself up for a vacation. However, we do hope that our tips on looking hot on the beach are indeed helpful and will make you feel pumped up. Just keep in mind that this has nothing to do with size or shape. All it takes is for you to have that self-confidence and you're good to go!

4 Important Things to Bring to Have a Philippine Beach Holiday

Whether you’re going to the beach for a day or perhaps a week, packing up things is the most important. To set things straight, you don't have to bring many belongings. In fact, all you need is money, food, clothes and lastly camera. Why? Bringing too many loads will only increase your expenses (that's through experience).

I remember when we visited Philippines. We carry too many loads which made our trip awful. In fact, we never had fun and experience the beauty of Philippines beach holiday destinations. Because of that, I made my own list of what to bring to avoid carrying too many loads.

1. Money – Of all the things that you must bring on a beach trip, money is the most important. You can ignore all stuff because you can buy anything you might need (e.g. toiletries) near the beach. How can you proceed to other places without money or perhaps how can you get inside the resort if you haven't paid the entrance fee?

2. Food – Yes! You can buy foods everywhere along beach side. But if you are only staying there like hours or have an overnight stay, just bring snacks. Actually, it is more expensive to buy foods in restaurants near beaches. After all, bringing your own snacks can also help you save money.

3. Clothes – What will you do on a beach? Will you just look at the sea? The sky? Or maybe you only want to see beautiful and sexy ladies? Typically, you will go there to plunge your body in the crystal clear waters and soak your skin under the sun. And as usual, you will need to change clothes.

4. Camera – For an unforgettable beach vacation, you need to bring your camera. It’s lightweight and in fact, you can place it in your pocket. It is recommended to bring a waterproof camera. But if you don't have it, an ordinary camera will do.

These are only the things that you need to bring on a one or two-day beach trip. If you wish to have longer vacation, add more important things in your backpack. Remember these essentials as this will give you a wonderful Philippine beach holiday.
